The Hesston College men’s soccer team suffered a 4-0 setback to Neosho County CC (Chanute, Kan.) on Tuesday, Aug. 25, dropping the Larks to 0-2 on the year.
Throughout a physical first half, Hesston sophomore keeper Oliver Wisseman (Prineville, Ore.) kept the game scoreless with several nice saves, including a diving stop on a low corner shot in the 27th minute. Neosho punched in a goal in the 38th minute to take a 1-0 lead into the break.
The visiting Panthers kept up the pressure in the final 45 minutes, scoring three additional goals to set the final score.
The Larks travel to Kansas City, Mo., for a 2 p.m. match with Calvary Bible College on Saturday, Aug. 29.
